Tech Trade - trusted vendor since 1978
Tech Trade was established in 1978 by Halvor Nilsen and Roald Deisz, with an office and small workshop in Sandnes.
The first project deliveries were valves and lubricants to Ekofisk for Phillips Petroleum.
Statoil, Mobil and Amoco followed shortly after.
Alex Mackay joined the company in 1984 to focus on business development.
In 1988, Rory James joined from the UK based Plenty Group, adding process equipment to the selection. Morris Gallimore, also from Plenty Group, joined in 1992.
By that time, Tech Trade was delivering Piping specials, Filtration and Pigging equipment to Oseberg, Gullfaks and Ekofisk Waterflood.
This led to growth for the company, gradually shaping it into the total project, service and after sales organisation it is today.
“At Tech Trade, we are committed to operating in a manner that is environmentally sustainable, socially responsible, and with good governance. We strive to minimise our impact on the environment by reducing waste, conserving energy, and using eco-friendly materials whenever possible.
We believe in treating our employees, customers, and suppliers with respect, fairness, and transparency. We actively seek to contribute to the communities where we operate. We hold ourselves to high standards of corporate governance, ensuring that our business practices are ethical and transparent, and that we comply with all applicable laws and regulations as well as Tech Trade’s policies and procedures.”
